In 2009, when KIS Photo-Me group introduced the Photobook Maker, a revolutionary self-service kiosk that automatically makes photobooks in minutes. For retailers, this marked the beginning of a new era in onsite photobook production! Since then, more than 1500 kiosks are operating around the world, and retailers have requested additional features and options.
.New features and options now available are:
- A downloadable end-user software suite: consumers can create and modify their photobooks at home on their own computer, and print them directly through the Photobook Maker in minutes.
- A child book add-on: this new software feature allows your customers to create a customized book with the child’s face on every page. Their child will become the star of the story.
- Expanded payment options: you can now offer your customers a choice (coin and bill acceptor, change giver and credit/debit card) of paying for their orders at the Photobook Maker. Customers can also receive a barcoded payment slip when the book design is completed and pay at a nearby counter. A wireless barcode scanner then manually releases the photobook order for printing.
Using the touchscreen, and the proven easy-to-use design software that continues to thrill thousands of people everyday, Photobook Maker customers can make an attractive photo album, complete with the album title printed on the spine, in under five minutes. The DVD jacket sized (6x8-inch/ 15x20cm) stain-resistant photobooks with a glossy finish can be created with up to 30 laminated pages containing 100 photos.
Little staff support is needed for the Photobook Maker V1, with less than 3 minutes needed to periodically renew the consumables kit containing, ink, glue and paper. Each glue kit is sufficient for printing 28 16-page photobooks.
